VAT

VAT Returns

Value Added Tax or VAT is the tax that you  have to pay when you are buying goods or services. Your business does not have to register for VAT until your turnover for the previous 12 months exceeds the threshold which currently stands at £85,000.

With effect from 1st April 2019 if your taxable turnover is above the VAT registration threshold you must abide by the new VAT regulations for Making Tax Digital which requires you to keep your records digitally and file the VAT returns using Making Tax Digital compliant software.

We can seamlessly take care of every aspect of this for you and for further details please refer to the book-keeping service page.

“I have only been introduced to the Roper Accountant Team in the last six months but what a breath of fresh air. I have found them welcoming, helpful and highly efficient. Their friendly approachable manner means that going to the accountant is no longer like going to the dentist to have a tooth removed.”
